A downloadable game for Windows

Hello!

I present to you my personal master's thesis project in Forest Science at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. In this game, I explore the possibilities of using video games as an educational tool in forestry. I prepared a short survey on this topic, available to you at the end of the game.

Become a forestry advisor and help the owners decide the faith of their forests. You have to guide the thinning (pre-final cutting to improve conditions and value of the forest stand) by choosing which trees are to be cut. Be careful! Avoid getting wind damage or other forms of natural mortality, or else the forest owners will be angry at you.

How to answer the anonymous survey: When on the "Choose forest" panel, click "Exit to survey" (see screenshot). I would appreciate it if you help me with my thesis by participating and answering honestly all questions.  The survey needs a working internet connection to be sent, so make sure you have it.

Controls:

WASD or arrows to move around, mouse to rotate the camera,

Esc to open menu,

H for help,

E to mark tree,

P to proceed with thinning.

Happy thinning!
